Seneca Indians: Allies and Enemies   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Seneca are among the most respected and feared. The Seneca are culturally similar to their Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, an Mohawk confederates. The five tribes were known as the Five Nations or the League of Five Nations. Sometime between 1715 and 1722 the Tuscaroras from North Carolina joined the confederacy and changed the name to the Six Nations.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  In their relations with white settlers the Seneca played the role of an independent power and were this way from the very start. During the colonial period they held the balance of power between the French and English. Particulary around the Canadian border. Inside each house several families lived in semi-private rooms or areas and the center areas were used as social and political meeting places. Their man crop was corn, but they also grew pumpkins, beans, tobacco, maize, squash and later on they grew orchard fruits like apples and peaches.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Crafts were also made. Through themselves and five other tribes they formed the Six Nations. The Six Nations were an almost indomitable clan. They participated in the Revolutionary War and in the colonial wars. The men and women each had specific jobs they were to do in order to keep things running.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  The Seneca was the tribe that was the most intensely studied by the white people. It is also believed that their democratic ways were an influence on the writers of the United States Constitution.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Many of the famous Indians came from the Seneca tribe. Some were Red Jacket, Ely S. Parker and Cornplanter. There were also many others from their league tribes, the Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, Mohawk, and later joiners the Tuscarora.

Harley Davidson Company is a largest factory-sponsored motorcycle club in the world. It has a wide range of vision and mission that makes Harley-Davidson apart from the competition and why their brand strength is legendary. The United States customers for example, have come to trust the name Harley-Davidson, which gives the company a competitive advantage over their competitors. The company strives to improve growth and increase demand for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Today the Harley Davidson Company takes the leading position in the business world, when demand exceeds supply this allows them to increase the prices of productions and stock. They have become a force to be reckoned with in the motorcycle industry, while continuing to maintain existence through either booming or recessive markets. The external matrix indicates that the Harley-Davidson company is above average when it comes to being perceptive and responsive in regards to opportunities and threats. Based on the weighted score of 3.  58, the major and minor strengths dominate the weak opportunities and threats. Besides from advantage of the company to the rest of the competitors, Harley-Davidson’s company looking at the other companies as a whole competitor, the hybrid expansion could generate a great deal more revenues (Datamonitor, 2006, p. 14). The competitive matrix indicates that Harley-Davidson holds a strong position among its competitors. Through brand image, customer loyalty, and a relatively stable financial position, the company can work towards growth in the global markets. One avenue is to purchase the 20 million shares of stock that the company has been authorized to buy back. Harley Davidson’s opportunity to buy back their shares is their opportunity to tell the world that they are still a financially stable company. This answer the question on how can Harley-Davidson improve its 2005 stock performance. Harley-Davidson, Inc TOWS Matrix The Matrix would give the best strategies in which Harley –Davidson Company motivates the customer heart and becoming a great tool of the company’s success as well. Under this matrix strategies developed were as follows with coded letter; Strengths (S), Weaknesses (W), Opportunities (O), Threats (T), Strengths & Opportunities ( SO) strategy, Weaknesses & Opportunities(WO) strategy, Strength & Threats (ST) Strategies, and Weaknesses & Threats (WT) Strategies. Under which noted that the strengths were comprises with at least factual description namely, 1. Brand Loyalty 2. Commanding Market share in heavy weight segment 3. Offering Cross Segments 4. Extensive Distribution Network 5. Strong Operating Performance and 6. Customers Loyalty. Furthermore, it is also noted from the list, the three listed weaknesses: Weak European business performance, Rising dealer inventory and decline in value of pre-owned vehicles and the SEC inquiry over production plants. While on the other hand, there are three opportunities offered by the company namely; SEC inquiry over production plants, Improvement in efficiency and Chinese Market. Plus other thing the company has to dealt with and made some direct action complied is the list of threats the company cannot avoid to tackle it efficiently. The threats were Intense Competition, Increase in raw material cost and Regulatory Issues. With such matrix strategies of the company, other new strategies can be developing that also of great used in the new company. From there, we can design a Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities & Threats (SWOT) strategies, SPACE, BCG, IE, Grand Strategy, and QSPM matrices that’s is also valuable to use in order to improve the business progress and development. Conclusions The company’s current strategies appeared to following, the Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities & Threats (SWOT) strategies, that is, in addition to the previous existing strategies which are SWOT originated. Thus it gives the company big booms of success. That is, based on the financial and analytical data, Harley Davidson is a strong financial organization that has been in business for over 100 years and if they continue in the way they are working, they could remain in business another 100 years. The underlying grand strategy or strategy theme of the company is that, company uses an aggressive strategy, because it would be in the upper right, aggressive quadrant. The Explanation to this would be graphing the change of FSIS in the plane of CAIS versus FSES, the result would be increasing change of FSIS was found. Hence with these amazing results, the  Company gained the financial strength & industry strength (FSIS) increasing as the financial Strength positively overcome as well as the industry strength also positively reached. Stating the immediate and future strategy recommendations for the company will be , taking into accounts that competitor continuously becoming at large and introduces more vivid product assurance , the company can still compete more effectively if the continuous studies about how to gain trust among customers and also continuous seeking more effective strategies that will fits the need of the customers. Thus for sure the more the company blooms up to the highest level among the rest of the competitors. Providing a selection rationale and financial justification about the company’s financial strength will be Harley-Davidson, Inc has developed strategies in line with their aspirations to grow within a Global Market. The company prides itself on having brand recognition and customer loyalty. In the terms of generating revenues, the company has dominated the domestic market versus their competitor’s ability. Harley-Davidson is comprised of four segments (Datamonitor, 2006, p.  28). This enables them to focus on different targeted customers. The segments consist of standard, performance, touring and customized motorcycles (Datamonitor, 2006, p. 28). Other strengths include strong operating performance and distribution network. Harley products are sold by over 1,300 dealers globally (Datamonitor, 2006, p. 29). The ability to market and promote a brand name product to people all over the world, through various networking capabilities, provides the company will a stronger market position. The strong operating performance can be based upon the growth of the company. Looking at revenues from 2003 to 2005, the company has increased funds by almost 14. 5 percent within two years (Income Statement: Forbes. Com). According to the quarterly reports on Forbes, it appears that for 2006, the company will exceed the previous years’ revenues. Therefore, the company is continually growing and making their presence known in the industry.

Los residentes permanentes legales pueden solicitar la ciudadanà ­a estadounidense mediante el trà ¡mite de la naturalizacià ³n. Una de las consecuencias legales es que sus hijos menores de edad podrà ­an automà ¡ticamente y al mismo tiempo convertirse tambià ©n en ciudadanos americanos. Fundamentos de ciudadanà ­a americana automà ¡tica para hijos El padre o madre adquiere la ciudadanà ­a americana por naturalizacià ³nEl hijo/a es menor de 18 aà ±os, residente permanente y convive con el padre o madre que se naturalizaEl hijo/a puede probar su nuevo estatus de estadounidense solicitando Certificado de Ciudadanà ­a o sacando pasaporte americano. Requisitos para obtener la ciudadanà ­a americana automà ¡ticamente por naturalizacià ³n de uno de los padres La ley exige que se cumpla la totalidad de las condiciones siguientes: Los hijos deben ser menores de 18 aà ±osLa naturalizacià ³n del padre o de la madre debe tener lugar o haberse producido con posterioridad al 27 de febrero de 2001.Los hijos menores deben ser titulares ellos mismos de una tarjeta de residencia permanente, tambià ©n conocida como green card , en forma de tarjeta de plà ¡stico o sello de entrada a EE.UU. en el pasaporte junto con visa de inmigrante (I-551).Finalmente, el menor debe residir habitualmente con el padre o la madre que se naturaliza, que debe tener la custodia fà ­sica y legal de su hijo.   Es decir, no se produce un derecho a la nacionalidad automà ¡ticamente si el menor convive habitualmente con un progenitor que es diferente al que se naturaliza.   Ventajas de adquirir la ciudadanà ­a americana automà ¡ticamente En este caso, el menor se convierte automà ¡ticamente en ciudadano. Es decir, no tiene  que aplicar para naturalizarse ni pagar ningà ºn tipo de aranceles. Tampoco tiene que rendir un examen de inglà ©s o conocimientos histà ³ricos y cà ­vicos ni jurar lealtad a los Estados Unidos. Probar la ciudadanà ­a americana adquirida automà ¡ticamente Aunque no es necesario, es importante poder probar que se es ciudadano de los Estados Unidos. Puede hacerse de dos formas, mediante un certificado de ciudadanà ­a o mediante el pasaporte de Estados Unidos. En principio, el menor que adquiere asà ­ la nacionalidad no recibe de forma automà ¡tica un certificado de ciudadanà ­a (certificate of citizenship). Sin embargo, si asà ­ lo desea, puede solicitar uno aplicando mediante la planilla N-600. Puede llenarse en papel o presentar la solicitud digitalmente en la pà ¡gina oficial de USCIS. La tarifa de presentacià ³n es de $1.170. En el caso de extraviar el certificado de ciudadanà ­a, puede solicitarse una copia llenando el formulario N-565. Por otro lado, se puede solicitar el pasaporte americano. En este caso o bien se presenta un certificado de ciudadanà ­a, o si no se tiene se deberà ¡ probar una serie de circunstancias como que: el padre o la madre del menor se ha naturalizadoque se era menor de 18 aà ±os cuando se produjo tal naturalizacià ³nque se era titular de una green card o de una visa inmigrante con sello de ingreso en el pasaporte. Ademà ¡s, debe probarse existe realmente una relacià ³n de padre/madre– hijo, para lo que hay que presentar el certificado e nacimiento o el de adopcià ³n. Asimismo, en los casos en los que el hijo o hija nacià ³ cuando sus padres no estaban casados y es el padre el que se naturaliza, deberà ¡ probarse que el reconocimiento del hijo se produjo antes de que el menor cumpliese los 16 aà ±os de edad. Finalmente, tambià ©n hay que probar que se residà ­a en Estados Unidos bajo la custodia fà ­sica y legal del padre o madre naturalizado en el momento en que se produjo la naturalizacià ³n. Ademà ¡s, habrà ¡ que seguir el proceso habitual para solicitar el pasaporte por primera vez, teniendo en cuenta las caracterà ­sticas propias que aplican cuando el solicitante de pasaporte es menor de edad, como por ejemplo, presencia de ambos padres en el momento de aplicar, cumplir con los requisitos de consentimiento de los progenitores en los casos de separacià ³n o divorcio o presencia de los nià ±os. Quà © pasa en los casos en la que la naturalizacià ³n ocurrià ³ antes de 2001 Uno de los requisitos que podrà ­a no cumplirse es el de la fecha de naturalizacià ³n de los padres. Las leyes que regulan la ciudadanà ­a derivada han cambiado a lo largo del tiempo. En estos momentos la que aplica para estos casos es del aà ±o 2001.   Sin entrar en detalle de la legislacià ³n a lo largo de la historia es conveniente saber que en las naturalizaciones que tuvieron lugar entre el 5 de octubre de 1978 y el 26 de febrero de 2001 tambià ©n los hijos podà ­an adquirir la ciudadanà ­a automà ¡ticamente, pero con mayores condiciones. La principal diferencia es que antes del 2001 se pedà ­a que los dos padres se naturalizasen para que los hijos menores de 18 aà ±os y que fueran residentes permanentes para que los hijos pudiesen adquirir la ciudadanà ­a americana automà ¡ticamente. Por ejemplo, en estos momentos, un muchacho de 15 aà ±os que es residente permanente serà ¡ automà ¡ticamente ciudadano si su madre se naturaliza y ambos viven juntos habitualmente. Pero hasta el 2001, un adolescente con una green card no adquirà ­a la ciudadanà ­a por el mero hecho de que se madre –o su padre- se hubiera naturalizado si el otro progenitor seguà ­a siendo extranjero.  ¿Quà © sucede si los hijos son mayores de 18 aà ±os cuando el progenitor se naturaliza? En estos casos, la situacià ³n de los hijos no cambia. En el caso de que fueran residentes permanentes lo seguirà ¡n siendo,  porque no adquieren la nacionalidad americana de forma automà ¡tica. Podrà ¡n, si asà ­ lo desean y reà ºnen los requisitos, pedir la naturalizacià ³n para ellos mismos rellenando el formulario N-400 y pagando los aranceles correspondientes. En la mayorà ­a de los casos, serà ¡ ciudadano en un periodo 6 a 12 meses desde la aplicacià ³n.  ¿Quà © sucede si los hijos son menores de edad pero no viven con el padre o la madre que se naturaliza? Si son ya residentes permanentes, seguirà ¡n en ese estatus hasta que adquieran la mayorà ­a de edad y decidan pedir ellos la naturalizacià ³n. A menos que el padre o la madre con la que viven se naturalice.  ¿Quà © sucede si los hijos no son residentes permanentes cuando su padre/madre se naturaliza? Si no son residentes permanentes, el padre o la madre que recià ©n se han convertido en ciudadano pueden pedirlos. Los ciudadanos pueden pedir a los hijos, que està ¡n divididos desde el punto de vista migratorio en 3 categorà ­as: hijos solteros menores de 21 aà ±os. Se les considera familiar inmediato.hijos casados de cualquier edad. Se conocen como categorà ­a F3.hijos solteros mayores de 21 aà ±os. Se conocen como categorà ­a F1. Los tiempos de tramitacià ³n son muy distintos, segà ºn la categorà ­a. Sin duda la primera opcià ³n tiene mayor proteccià ³n legal y derechos.
